Graduate Program
Welcome Letter and Application Deadlines
Dear Prospective Graduate Student:
Thank you for your interest in our Graduate Program in History (M.A. degree).
The aim of our program is to empower our students to enrich their own lives and
the life of their community through a fuller understanding of the past. We
believe that by giving students the tools necessary to write and to teach
history, we can build a community that embraces diversity. The rich resources of
the local community and of the Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and
Culture will provide “community-as-laboratory” tools for solid training in the
particular problems of writing history. Students will receive rigorous training
in conducting research, constructing persuasive arguments, and writing
compellingly.
A complete application requires the following items: 1.
Salisbury University Application for Graduate Program Admission
Form/Residency (returned to Office of Admissions with $50 Non-Refundable
Application Fee) 2.
