Eastern Shore Cyber Security Conference

 

In conjunction with National Cyber Security Awareness Month, SU’s Information Technology Department is proud to announce the first annual Eastern Shore Cyber Security Conference, to be held on October 22nd, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Worcester Room of the Commons Building.  A collaborative effort between Salisbury University, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Wor-Wic Community College, the City of Salisbury, and Perdue Farms, the conference will help raise information security awareness and provide those in attendance with information on the current cyber security threat landscape as well as a variety of protective measures both personal and workplace-oriented.

 

This event is free and will be open to all faculty, staff, and students.  Session topics include: Malware Threats, Personal Identity Protection, The Dangers of Social Media, and Computer Forensics.  The keynote will be delivered by Brad Antoniewicz of McAfee Foundstone’s Security Research Division.
