$500 for 6 camp days plus training
Position Summary:
The Henson
School of Science at Salisbury University seeks a
female student to
serve as camp counselor at Science Camp @SU.
Counselors are responsible for participation and
supervision of campers (high school students). Counselors
will be required to participate in evening activities with
campers, live in the Residence Hall during the week, chaperone
the campers during daily activities as well as be responsible
for campers during nighttime. During daytime hours counselors
may not necessarily need to be with campers full time, but
counselors are required to attend first day (counselors will be
asked to give a tour of SU campus, as well as participate in
some ice-breaking and team-building activities) and a be
available for a one-day field trip.
Counselors will be asked to fulfill other activities
during the daytime as assigned by the Camp Director.
Qualifications:

Must be at
least 18 years of age before employment starts
·
Science,
Mathematics, or Education background
·
Creative
individual with ability to work independently and as part of a
team
·
Excellent
interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
·
Ability to
maintain safety and discipline in a fun and positive way
·
Good
physical condition to participate in evening activities
·
Pass a
background check according to Salisbury University guidelines
Responsibilities:
·
Live in the
Residence Halls with the campers and supervise campers during
night hours
·
Participate
in evening activities with campers
·
Give tour
of SU campus to campers and parents
·
Participate
in team-building/ice-breaking activities on first day
·
Attend and
participate in day-long field trip
·
Enforce the
rules of the camp
·
Other
duties as assigned
