As a member of the Maryland Educational Enterprise
Consortium (MEEC), Salisbury University established a software licensing
agreement, with Microsoft called the Microsoft Education Enterprise Agreement.
This agreement was approved by the Maryland Board of Public Works on Wednesday,
July 14, 1999. SU is now in the fifth year of the licensing agreement.
The Microsoft Education Enterprise Agreement, commonly referred to as MS ELA,
gives SU students, faculty and staff the opportunity to access Microsoft's
computer software through the campus network. SU students, faculty and
staff are also able to use the discounted Microsoft software on their home
computers.
Microsoft software at SU is distributed in three ways:
Student purchase program
Students can purchase Microsoft software at a discounted price through the
link on our
MSELA page, as long as they are a current student of
Salisbury University. The license for software purchased through the MSELA
program is perpetual for students.
Faculty and staff purchase program
Faculty and staff can purchase Microsoft software at a discounted price
through the link on our
MSELA page for use on their home computer. The licence
for software purchased through the MSELA program is good for as long as they
remain employed by Salisbury University.
