| Information Technology has four
private rooms for groups, called "Breakout Rooms" that students and
faculty may reserve during our normal TETC lab hours.
These are intended for group study and projects, to give
groups a place where they may work together and discuss
projects without disturbing others in a lab setting.
Each breakout room is associated with one of the four TE
computer labs.
Each of the rooms include a computer
(set up to mirror the current software in its associated
lab),
a table with four chairs, and a whiteboard. Dry erase
markers and erasers may be borrowed from the Help Desk
at the time of reservation.
These rooms are primarily for
groups. Individuals may use these rooms if they are
available; however they may not schedule a room in
advance, and they are required to vacate the room if a
group needs the room and there are no other open
breakout rooms.
Faculty teaching in one of the three teaching labs (TETC 110A,
110B,
116B) may
reserve the lab's associated breakout room in advance
for use during the time in which their class is
scheduled. As these rooms are scheduled on a first
come, first served basis, faculty wishing to use the
associated breakout room should do so early to ensure it
is not already reserved. Please contact the Help Desk
for more information.
Groups may schedule in advance to
reserve a room. Only one reservation per group per day.
Individuals reserving for a group must provide the names
of all group members, and must have a valid ID card.
Reservations are for up to four hours maximum. Due to
the limited resource of these rooms, time extensions are
not permitted.
Groups interested in reserving one of these rooms
should stop into the Help Desk in TE 113 to make your
reservations. Please check the schedules below for
tentative availability.
