As a faculty/staff member, can I install a Microsoft product locally on my office PC?

No! Microsoft products that are included under this agreement are also available through the SU Network. Since all workstation PCs have been configured for the SU network and the accompanying software, a local installation of any software will cause Registry conflicts for your PC. Thus creating more problems in the use of the software product.

However, if you do need any software installed on your PC, Information Technology can install the software for you. In the case of software covered under the MS ELA, we would just need to put in a ticket to have the software installed in most cases. For other software, we may require proof of licensing prior to installing software; contact the Help Desk for more details on requesting software for your office PC.
