Most issues with SU E-mail can be easily remedied. The most common is an
error when logging in. If you are experiencing problems logging in, try the
following:
- Make sure that you are using the correct username. Your username is your
first and last initial and the last five digits of your Student ID (aka
Emplid, found on the front of your GullCard). For faculty and staff, your
username is your first and middle initial and your full last name.
- If your username is working but your password isn't, then try getting a
new password at
http://mypassword.salisbury.edu. Use the Forgot My Password link, enter
your username and answer the security questions, and then set a new
password. Make sure the new password is at least 8 characters long, and has
at least one uppercase and one lowercase letter and one number.
In addition, your password can't be any password you've
used previously, and cannot use 3 consecutive characters that exactly match
you first name, your last name, or your login id (username). Note: If you are having difficulty
answering the security questions, try unchecking Hide Answers. Also, make
sure you are entering in the answers exactly as asked. Finally remember your EmplID is your Student ID (7
digit number printed on the front of your GullCard).
- If that still doesn't work, try emptying your Temporary Internet Files
and Cookies, if using WebAccess.
- If all else fails, call the Help Desk at 410-677-5454 off-campus or
7-5454 on campus and we'll be happy to assist you.
