Here are some suggested guidelines to use when choosing your password. Your
password should be at least eight characters with at least one number. Choose
something easy for you to remember, but difficult for others to guess, like your
birthday plus your favorite pet's name. Memorize your password rather than
writing it down on a sticky note. By doing this you protect yourself as well the
security of our University systems.
Changing your passwords ....
For Network Passwords (login, SU email and
myClasses@SU)
- Go to the My Password page at
http://mypassword.salisbury.edu
- If you need to change your password...
- Choose the Change Password button
- Enter your username
- Enter your current password
- Enter your new password
- Re-enter your new password to confirm.
- Click Submit
- If you have forgotten your password and need a new one...
- Choose the Forgot My Password button
- Enter your username and click Find
- Enter and confirm your EmplID (or SU ID, found in red on the front of newer
Gull Cards), your SSN and your date of birth (two digit
month, two digit day, four digit year). If you don't want to
confirm them and are in a secure environment where you aren't worried about
people seeing your answers, you can uncheck "hide answers" to only enter each
answer once, without confirmation.
- The Password Self Service page will open. Here you will see if there were
any problems with your account that may have caused your old password not to
work. This is purely for your information.
- Click Reset Password.
- Enter and confirm your new password and click OK. You can also Generate a
new password by clicking Generate Password.
- Click Done
- Click Close Window
