Job Title: TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE (TSR) Department: SALES FLSA Status: EXEMPT Salary: $ DOE, PLUS BENEFITS Hours: VARIABLE Available: IMMEDIATELY
SUMMARY
The Technical Sales Representative is field based and reports to the Regional Supervisor Trainer. The TSR assists regional efforts to achieve and maintain sales via technical support in demonstrations and installations as well as validate new assays at existing accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned
· Performs validations of new assays and systems · Participates in regional technical conference calls · Participates and provides technical support in the sales process via demonstration and sales calls · Visits new accounts. · Performs on-site training. · Provides guidance to laboratories setting up SOP’s (training and procedures). · Provides continuing education regarding currently used and newly available assays i.e. clinical application, special procedures. · Visits each account in the territory. · Maintains each account to ensure the highest performance of DPC products. · Travels extensively via air or ground transportation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS Must be able to successfully perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
· Bachelor's degree in Life Science or a degree in Medical Technology preferred plus 1 year related experience or equivalent · Must have a Current valid Driver's License and be insurable by DPC.
Ability to:
· Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. · Write reports business correspondence, and procedure manuals. · Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients customers, and the general public. · Apply advanced mathematical concept using computer programs. · Apply mathematical operations using statistical analysis programs. Performing tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. · Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions · Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock; frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, blood-borne pathogens, and vibration; and occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
