TRAINING - Contact EHS to discuss scheduling

New Staff Training topics include hazard communication (right-to-know), fire extinguishers, portable ladders, electrical safety awareness, and lifting awareness.  (Approximately 4 hrs.)
Bloodborne Pathogens Training

single topic that is required for employees that may reasonably be expected to encounter blood or body fluids as a result of their typical work assignments.  This topic is also provided as a component of the Basic Training module. (Approximately 1 hr.)

Basic Training this year's topics include bloodborne pathogens, mold awareness, asbestos awareness, and hazard recognition -  what is wrong with this picture? (Approximately 3 hrs)
First Aid - CPR - AED

training topics include first aid procedures, current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation CPR techniques and use of the Automated Electronic Defibrillator (AED) with hands-on exercises. Sessions are taught by American Red Cross of the Lower Eastern Shore (Time varies)

First Aid - CPR - AED Refresher

topics include same information as above in a refresher format.  Includes hands-on exercises. (Time varies)

Asbestos/Biohazard/Radiation Awareness

topics include awareness training for maintenance & housekeeping employees that may encounter asbestos building materials, biohazard labels, and/or and radiation labels as a part of their daily work. (Approximately 2.5 hrs.)

Laboratory Safety for Instructors

topics include hazard communication, chemical hygiene program and general laboratory safety.  Provides risk management information for faculty that work in a laboratory setting (chemical use) and may work with student employees. (Approximately 2hrs.)

Respirator Training

 single topic that is required for employees who wear a respirator to prevent exposure to environmental hazards that cannot be eliminated by engineering controls.  (Approximately 1 hr.)

Laboratory Safety for Students

 topics include hazard communication and general laboratory safety for student employees that work in a laboratory setting. (Approximately 2 hrs.)

Spill Prevention Control and  Countermeasure (SPCC)

topics include state regulations, program overview and spill response information. (Approximately 2 hrs.)
