Learning Outcomes $50 for 3 sessions

Students should understand negative outcomes associated with abusive drinking including:

  • Accidents
  • Injuries/Death
  • Impact on Parents and Families when tragedies occur
  • Hurting a Friend/being responsible for an accident or injury
  • Alcohol poisoning
  • Date Rape
  • Grades
  • Doing things they regret
  • Unprotected Sex

Students should understand the progression of blood alcohol levels and impairment

  • Effects of food
  • Effects of rates of drinking
  • Psychological state
  • Effects on brain (neurotransmitters), and other body organs
  • Behavioral Changes
  • Safety
  • Steps to Preventing alcohol poisoning
  • Not being your own personal PBT (thinking you are okay to drive because you only had one, two, or three) – making a commitment to not drinking and driving – no matter how little you’ve had to drink
