Patient Visit Hours & Appointments

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. - noon and 1 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Wednesdays 9 a.m. (due to staff meetings) until noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Administrative Office Hours during academic year Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

All patient visits are by appointment. Please contact our office at 410-543-6262 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to schedule an appointment.

Welcome back to campus!  We hope that you have had a relaxing and productive summer!  If you have not done so already, please complete the online Tuberculosis Screening Questionnaire on the secure student health web portal and new students make sure that you have completed all the immunization requirements. You can also make appointments and view your immunizations online. Go to myhealth.salisbury.edu

 Tips for a Healthy Start to the Semester

Student Health recommends that all students have a yearly influenza vaccine.  There will be a flu clinic on October 18, from 8 am to 11:30 am in the Great Hall of Holloway for students, faculty and staff. Students can also make an appointment to have the vaccine in our office.

Give your diet a boost by eating fresh berries. They are rich in antioxidants and high in fiber.

Do not neglect your sleep.

Exercise is a great way to reduce stress and lowers your risk of developing many diseases such as heart disease and diabetes.

Always keep yourself well hydrated when working or playing outdoors, especially during these last few hot and humid days.

Mosquito bites can be more than just annoying. They can make you sick. Use insect repellent and wear long sleeve shirts and pants, especially at dusk and if hiking in the woods to avoid tick and bug bites. Lyme disease in on the rise.  People living in the Mid-Atlantic States (Maryland) as well as New England and the upper Midwest are at the greatest risk. Go to the CDC website to learn how to prevent tick bites and make tick bite prevention part of your outdoor plans.

Tips for a Healthy Summer

The staff of Student Health Services hopes that you have had a productive semester and want to provide some tips for a healthy summer.

  1. Give your diet a boost by eating fresh berries. They are rich in antioxidants and high in fiber.
  2. Protect your skin from harmful sun rays and always wear sunscreen.
  3. Your eyes also need protection from the sun. Sunglasses help prevent cataracts, as well as provide protection.
  4. Use insect repellent and wear long sleeve shirts and pants, especially at dusk and if hiking in the woods to avoid tick and bug bites.

  8. The summer months are also an excellent time to update your immunizations. While illnesses such as influenza are on the decline, traveling abroad can carry the risk of coming in contact with diseases that are not found in the United States. Please take the time to go to the secure patient portal to check your immunization status and update vaccines as needed.
