| Description: | Funding supports environmental assessment research in order to assist federal regulatory agencies in making science-based decisions about the effects of introducing genetically engineered organisms, including plants, microorganisms (e.g., fungi, bacteria and viruses), arthropods, fish, birds, and non-human mammals into the environment. Investigations of effects on both managed and natural environments are relevant. LOIs strongly encouraged by 1/22.
