| Description: | Many institutes support small business concerns (SBC) that foster translational biomedical and behavioral research (R43/44) that transform academic scientific discoveries into commercial products & services. Requires investigators primarily employed by a U.S. research institution at the time of application to transition to a SBC to be primarily employed (more than 50% time) by the SBC by or at the time of award. Well-justified budgets up to $200,000 per year for up to 2 years may be requested for Phase I. Expires 1/8/14.
