| Description: | This program provides funding for research and language training to American scholars and students for the study of Eastern Europe and Eurasia (Independent States of the Former Soviet Union). The program awards contracts or grants to U.S. IHEs to support postdoctoral research projects, and graduate, postdoctoral and teaching fellowships for advanced training. In FY 13, $4.7 million is available for 10 awards.
