| Description: | Funding supports exhibitions and their related publications that contribute to the study of any period of American art. Project must result in a tangible product that can be added to the body of scholarship in the field. Program is object-based and does not include projects that are primarily historical, documentary, or sociological. IHEs with American museums or galleries commitment to American art may apply. Applicants must be institutions that originated the project, not necessarily the venue. Annual deadline refers to required LOI. Other programs are available including digitization (rolling deadline).
