| Description: | Funding supports two programs (S10) for the purchase of current and emerging technologies. Shared Instrumentation Grants (SIG) (deadline 3/21/13) fund equipment in the $100,000-$600,000 range; High-End Instrumentation (HEI) Grants (offered every other year; usually with a Sept receipt date) support purchase of a single piece of equipment costing $750,000-$2 million. Aim is to allow groups (at least 3) of NIH-supported investigators obtain commercially-available equipment.
