Description: This program offers two innovative seminars on literary understanding. Topics for 2013: Versions of The Winter's Tale: Theater, Literature, Film, and Philosophy; and Tom McCarthy's Remainder. Seminars are open to scholars who have received a Ph.D. within the last 10 years and who teach in departments of literature or other relevant disciplines. Each seminar will include only 14 participants and will concentrate on the detailed operations of literary texts. Participants will receive a stipend of $1,500.
