| Description: | Funding supports research, doctoral dissertation improvement, workshops, conferences, and training programs focused on human language as an object of investigation. Topics of interest include syntactic, semantic, morphological, phonetic, and phonological properties of individual languages and of language in general, and investigation of linguistic questions that are interdisciplinary in nature. Annual target dates are 1/15 and 7/15.
