Description:	Funding will support preclinical development and testing of new therapies for neurological disorders. The program will facilitate therapy-directed projects to accelerate the translation of basic research discoveries into therapeutic candidates for clinical testing of leads that are sufficiently advanced that an Investigational New Drug (IND), Investigational Device Exemption (IDE), 510(k), or 510(k) de novo application to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) can be submitted during the project period. DEADLINE NOTICE: Applications are due February 7, 2013; August 20, 2013; February 7, 2014; and August 20, 2014. Applicants are strongly encouraged to consult with NINDS program staff at least 12 weeks before a receipt date as plans for an application are being developed.
