| Description: | Funding supports research to develop and test the environmental effects of nanotechnologies. Research should help to understand, evaluate, and mitigate the impact of nanotechnology on the environment and biological systems, with an emphasis on engineering principles underlying environmental health and safety impacts of nanotechnology. Innovative methods related to production processes, waste reduction, recycling, and industrial ecology are of interest. The annual proposal window is 1/15-2/19.
