Research at Salisbury University
Salisbury University has a long history of developing scholarly research activities which benefit faculty and students as well as regional, national and international communities. SU receives funding from various private and public agencies, such as the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Higher Education.
The Office of Graduate Studies and Research provides internal support to faculty, staff and students for research, training and community service projects by promoting and facilitating the acquisition of funds from both private and governmental sources as well as providing the management of such funds in a one-stop-shop environment.
Our objective is to encourage the pursuit of scholarly activity; and to attract and increase external funding for institution-wide reform. By maintaining a high standard of excellence, we hope to create a campus climate that amplifies everyone’s understanding of available funding and how we can compete in the most effective manner. We facilitate efforts to produce competitive grant and contract applications; this correlates with the University’s increased emphasis on teaching, student learning and undergraduate as well as graduate research.
