This area is well-known for its proximity to many of the great ski resorts in the Alps and was the site of the 1968 Olympic Games. Paris, the City of Lights, has long been known as a major cultural, intellectual and commercial center of the world. From its historical monuments like the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and the Arch de Triomphe to its modern aspects like the Centre Pompidou, la Défense and le Pyramide at the Louvre museum, there is always something to see and do in a city with such a colorful history and reputation.
