General Account Structure

General
The University Chart of Accounts is comprised of 3 separate documents, as well as updates when necessary.  The files, as well as a brief description of each are provided below.

The following documents are in Excel format:

  • SU_DEPTS_FY09.xls- 7/29/08
    All University accounts by program are listed in this file on separate worksheets.  Each accounts' name, department i.d, fund, program, budget manager, and PeopleSoft account number are provided.  Note that the Chart of Accounts does not include Foundation accounts.
     
  • SU_PROJS_FY09.xls-7/29/08
    All University research, public service, and agency fund accounts are listed here.
     
  • SU_ACCTS_FY09.xls- 7/29/08
    All University revenue and expenditure objects, general ledger accounts and loan fund numbers are listed in this file.

NOTE:  The first 3 files represent current information.  People who received a copy of the chart of accounts at the beginning of the fiscal year may only need to print the update file(s).
