Over 120 golfers participated in the 31st annual Salisbury University Golf Classic on Wednesday, May 6, at Glen Riddle Golf Club in Berlin, MD, to raise funds for the SU Foundation, Inc.
“Over $40,000 was raised to help future Sea Gull students,” said Amy Waters, SU’s director of leadership giving and stewardship. “Our annual tournament is a success because of the great group of people participating. The turnout from our local and regional businesses with continual sponsorship support shows their commitment to the University and our students. We can’t thank them enough.” A field of 31 teams competed for prizes and bragging rights. Winners included:
Closest to the pin was Fred Trice; longest drive went to Tad Kaufman. The event’s gold sponsor was The Mason Companies; silver sponsors were Black Diamond Catering and Pritchett Controls, Inc.; bronze sponsors were BB&T, Blind Industries and Services of Maryland, and The Trice Group. The day-long event wrapped up with awards, prizes and a barbeque picnic.
