Bill Nelson

Bill NelsonBill Nelson is an Adjunct Lecturer in Environmental Studies, Program Specialist, Internship Coordinator and Green Floor Leader. His areas of expertise include environmental science, environmental studies and experiential education. A career teacher of middle and high school environmental science and biology in the US and Japan, Bill joined the ENVR program first as an instructor for the introductory ENVR 102 course in the fall of 2009, and then in the fall of 2010 to teach two sections of ENVR 102, direct the green floor Living Learning Community, and work on grant writing, program outreach, and administrative assistance. In addition to his teaching experience, Nelson has through-hiked the Appalachian Trail, most of the Pacific Crest Trail, and several other long-distance trails and has cycled in Europe, Australia, Japan, Canada and four times across the United States. He co-teaches our summer kayaking and camping course, “Exploring Delmarva: A Water’s-Eye View.”
