ENVR Major and Minor

The Environmental Studies major contains a 35-credit core (11 of which can be applied towards general education requirements) that includes two environmental studies (ENVR) courses and 29 additional credits from a mix of classes in the humanities, sciences and social sciences. Students must also complete 12 credit hours from a list of elective courses. The ENVR minor consists of 18 credit hours, with course choices taken from  15 different fields.

Since we transitioned to a department in July 2012 and some of our older students are still using the "old" requirements, we provide that list here-- Pre-2012 ENVR major Checklist. All incoming students and any who switch into ENVR for their major will follow these "new" requirements--2012-13 ENVR major Checklist. Similarly, we offer both the "old" Pre-2012 ENVR minor Checklist and the "new" 2012-2013 ENVR minor Checklist.

To help with your fall planning, here is a list of ENVR and ENVR-related fall 2013 courses.
