Transfer Curriculum for Students Holding the AAT in Elementary Education

Checklist of Things for Elementary AAT Students to Do
Salisbury University Minors

Elementary Education Student Handbook

Students who earn the AAT in elementary education from a Maryland community college will complete the elementary education professional program and an academic minor at SU, as required for all native and transfer students seeking the Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.  This transfer program consists of 63 credit hours, half of the 126 credits completed by native students.

These additional requirements apply to all native and transfer students:

  1. All coursework completed for the degree, native and transfer, must be completed with grades of C or better.
  2. Students must complete a minimum of 126 credit hours to receive the degree.

During the 2003-2004 academic year, Salisbury University is converting its student records systems; the degree progress reports in this new system may not immediately reflect this transfer curriculum.

This transfer curriculum assumes that students will select an 18 hour minor and that 3 credits from the AAT degree will apply to the minor.  The following minors can be completed within the plan below:  English, history, math, political science, psychology, social studies.  Students interested in other minor areas of study should consult the Salisbury University catalog or the University web site at www.salisbury.edu.
