CMAT 102-151 INTRODUCTION TO MASS MEDIA Theory, history, structure and functions of mass media (print, film, recording, radio, television, new media), advertising, journalism and public relations. CMAT 240-002 INTRO TO JOURNALISM & PR Introduction to the basics of journalism and public relations. Focuses on developing an understanding of the professional practices of journalism and public relations and developing journalism and public relations writing skills. Prerequisites: C or better in CMAT 101 and 102. Three hour per week with enhancement.
