HLTH 120-001 CONSUMER HEALTH & SAFETY Overview of the health marketplace and safety procedures. Examiniation of strategies essential for analyzing health products, health services and maintaining safety. Emphasis placed on information and concepts required as foundation knowledge for school health educators. Three hours per week.
HLTH 225-002 HEALTH BEHAVIOR Examination of helath behavior theories and models of behavior change. Reviews the major theories of health behavior and strategies used to implement health interventions for individuals and organizations. Prerequisite: HLTH 110 or permission of instructor. Three hours per week.
HLTH 240-001 DRUG EDUCATION Examination of the social, psychological, physical and emotional aspects of alcohol, tobacco, over-the-counter drug and illegal drug use and associated behaviors. Emphasis placed on information and concepts required as foundation knowledge for school health educators. Prerequisite: HLTH 110 or permission of instructor. Three hours per week.
