• ELED 316-154 READING INSTRUCTION
  Introduction to balanced literacy instruction. Includes developmentally appropriate word recognition and comprehension strategies, activities, materials and programs coupled with organization and grouping procedures to maximize literacy learning for diverse populations. Field experiences and reflective evaluations included. Prerequisite: Admission to Professional Teacher Education Program. Co-requisite: ELED 309. Three hours per week.

• REED 610-191 ASSESSMENT OF LITERACY DEV
  Designed for professional personnel seeking experience with assessment instruments and diagnostic techniques. Examines various instruments and strategies for the collection and analysis of data about literacy development. Quantitative and qualitative measures will be examined. Prerequisites: REED 500, 515, 516, 517. Three hours per week.
