SOWK 420-002 FIELD INSTRUCTION IN SOWK I Supervised experience in a social welfare agency with emphasis on methods and techniques of generalist social work practice. Opportunity to apply theory and develop skills in delivery of social work services. Successful completion of the two-course sequence requires a student to fulfill a minimum of 440 hours of field instruction within the same social welfare agency accumulated across the fall and spring semesters. Attendance and participation in seminar required. Prerequisites: SOWK 302, 320, admission to the professional program. Corequisites: SOWK 416, 400.
