AHPH 515-191 APPLIED STRGTH & CONDITIONING Application of concepts and principles presented in AHPH 512 and AHPH 513. Students will be assigned a group of athletes to train. The student will work under the direction of the course instructor to design, implement and modify the strength and conditioning programs for their athletes. Emphasis will be placed on tailoring the strength and conditioning programs to best meet the individual athlete's needs. Prerequisites: AHPH 512, AHPH 513, and American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR. Three hours per week
EXSC 250-020 STRGTH TRNG TECH/PROG DES Examination of strength training techniques and program design. Emphasis placed on proper form and utilization of various workout designs to complement larger training goals. Gain experience in the theoretical and practical aspects of designing individual workout sessions, periodization and programming to enhance progression. May not receive credit for both EXSC 250 and EXSC 312. Prerequisite: PHEC 106/PHED 175. Three hours lecture, two hours lab per week.
