SOWK 660-610 ADV PRACTICE WITH FAMILIES Builds upon theoretical perspectives and practice skills from both foundation-level and advanced-level curriculum. The course compares, evaluates and presents practice skills from the major models of family therapy. Course content focuses upon applied family interventions in social work practice. Prerequisite: SOWK 650 or permission of department. Three hours per week.
SOWK 320-613 SOCIAL WORK PRACTICE I First of three practice courses preparing students for a generalist approach to social work practice. Emphasis on knowledge, values, ethics and skills needed to develop effective helping relationships. Includes basic theories for intervention with focus on micro level problem solving and basic interview skills. Prerequisites: SOWK 200, 300, and 310. Three hours per week.
