• HLTH 401-601 COMMUNITY HEALTH
  Study of the community dynamics as it affects the health status of community residents. Examine the role that various agencies, policies and practices have in maintaining optimal health and well-being of community members. Emphasis placed on information and concepts required as foundation knowledge for school and community health educators. Prerequisite: HLTH 120. Three hours per week.

2013 Summer II

• HLTH 225-201 HEALTH BEHAVIOR
  Examination of helath behavior theories and models of behavior change. Reviews the major theories of health behavior and strategies used to implement health interventions for individuals and organizations. Prerequisite: HLTH 110 or permission of instructor. Three hours per week.

2013 Fall

• HLTH 225-001 HEALTH BEHAVIOR
  Examination of helath behavior theories and models of behavior change. Reviews the major theories of health behavior and strategies used to implement health interventions for individuals and organizations. Prerequisite: HLTH 110 or permission of instructor. Three hours per week.

• HLTH 325-001 PLAN & ASSESS HLTH PRGRMS
  Overview of needs assessment, program planning, and evaluation of health education programs. Provides candidates with the opportunity to plan, implement, and evaluate a health education experience. Emphasis placed on information and concepts required for school health educators. Prerequisites: HLTH 225, 230 and 240. Three hours per week.

• HLTH 401-001 COMMUNITY HEALTH

• HLTH 480-001 INTERNSHIP IN COMMUNITY HLTH
  Practrical health education experience under the supervision of a local, professional mentor and university supervisor. A minimum of 540 supervised hours of service in a community based health setting. Prerequisites: Completion of all required major core curriculum courses with a C or better and a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50. Thirty-six hours per week.
