2014 Spring

  • CMAT 218-151 RHET & PUBLIC PRESENTATION
    Designed to provide extensive exposure to, and practice in, the preparation and presentation of messages. Emphasizes the nature, methods and principles of public address including persuasive, informative and special occasion presentations. Prerequisite: C or better in CMAT 101. Three hours per week with enhancement.
  • CMAT 490-151 COMMUNICATION SEMINAR
    Intensive study in speech or communication studies. Students should choose a seminar in their track. Substantial research paper/academic project and class presentation are required. May be taken twice under different subtitles, but only four credits may be applied to the communication arts major. Prerequisites: Senior Standing and permission of the instructor. Three hours per week with enhancement.
  • IDIS 330-151 INTERDIS RESEARCH SEMINAR
    Upper-level interdisciplinary course focused on a seminar topic. Leads to the in-depth integration of the students' work in a broad range of environments in relation to the topic. Prerequisite: Junior standing or permission of instructor. Three hours per week with enhancement.
  • IDIS 497-001 UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH
    Independent student research under the supervision of the Interdisciplinary Studies Coordinator. Students will have the opportunity to study a topic in depth and design their own research project to add to that area’s body of knowledge. Specific topics are indicated on student transcripts. Public presentation required. Prerequisite: Junior standing, permission of Interdisciplinary Studies Coordinator. Three hours per week.
