Salisbury University has the honor of being designated an Ambassadorial Site for
World Artist Experiences. Working closely with the embassies in
Washington, DC, The Ambassador Series presents noteworthy
artists and performers from around the world to showcase countries or areas of
the world and their cultures.
World
Artists Experiences (WAE) is a non-profit organization,
committed to developing a vital role of the arts in building bridges of
international understanding. As a universal language, the arts create unique
opportunities for cross-cultural communication, interaction and learning.
World Artists Experiences envisions a world where
its citizens dialogue and establish creative partnerships to foster mutual
respect, trust and hope.
World Artists Experiences mission is to bridge
international understanding using the universal language of the arts.
By providing educational experiences with world
artists in schools, colleges, and communities, WAE seeks to foster an
appreciation and support for the rich diversity and cultural commonalities of
the world's citizens and, thereby, foster mutual respect among all people.
Since inception, WAE members and
volunteers have been active in providing opportunities for cultural exchange at
the grassroots level. Programs have been sponsored involving musicians and other
artists from Africa, Asia, Europe, Central and South America, and the United
States.
World Artist Experiences is
always looking for persons interested in working together on the Ambassador
Services at Salisbury University.
Additionally, students
interested in joining the student chapter of World Artists Experiences are
invited to inquire.
