Concert: Brass Roots Trio
Holloway Hall, Great Hall, 7 p.m.
Three world-class musicians redefine the chamber music genre with the fusion of classical, jazz, Americana and Latin styles. The trio displays an amazing mix of individual and ensemble musicianship. Rosetta Senkus Bacon, piano; Thomas Boulton, trumpet; and Dan Wions, horn, infuse their music with passion and exuberant energy, and their warm-hearted presentation establishes an immediate connection with the audience. They have demonstrated their prodigious talents across the country and around the world with engagements at the Kennedy Center in Washington, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall in New York, and at cultural centers and festivals in Switzerland, England, Mexico, Lithuania and Taiwan. Exhilarating performance and imaginative programming have established Brass Roots Trio as one of the most compelling ensembles of the 21st century. Admission is free and the public is invited. This is a Cultural Affairs'event, for more information call 410-543-6271.
