» Disability History and Awareness Month: screening of the documentary Sound and Fury
Salisbury University commemorates Disability History and Awareness Month with a series of events in October.
A screening of the documentary Sound and Fury inaugurates the series 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, in Teacher Education and Technology Center Room 156. The film follows two families as they struggle to decide whether a cochlear implant, which can assist hearing-impaired individuals, is best for their children. While the implant may allow them to hear, it also potentially threatens their identifying with the hearing-impaired culture. The public is invited.
