Faculty Student Research Projects funded by an $8,000 grant from the Palmer Foundation in 2006 - 2007 included the following:

Summer 2006 - Dr. Rachel Goldberg (Sociology) will work with a group of
              students to develop a plan for a visioning process for the City
              of Salisbury.


Fall 2006 - Dr. Clara Small (History) will work with a group of students to
               "Preserve the Past for the Next Generation".  They will
                conduct oral history interviews of local community residents.

               Dr. Judith Stribling (Biology) and Dr. Mara Chen (Geography) will
               work with a group of students to investigate fertilizer use and
               and user perceptions for agricultural and residential
               applications in the Wicomico River watershed.

Fall and Spring 2007 -  Dr. Darrell Newton (Communication and Theater
               Arts) is working with a group of students to develop news
               broadcasts for the WXSU radio station to the SU and local
               community
. These will include daily reports, a weekend news
               magazine and a monthly community forum.
