The Volunteer Experience requirement for the Presidential Citizen
Scholar Program is that each student volunteer 40 hrs for one or more
community organizations (fill out a volunteer experience form on each
organization and write a reflective essay on your experience with one
organization). Click here for the
form and instructions for this
essay. These volunteer experiences can either involve some form of community service for the betterment of the community or some form of political involvement. Remember: Please get your volunteer experiences approved by PACE before you do them if you'd like to be sure they will count toward this requirement. Contact the PACE office to make these arrangements. Possible volunteer experiences include but are not limited to: Best
Buddies - students work with people who have disabilities Big Brothers, Big Sisters ECI Discussion Group - time spent leading a discussion group
