The
objective of this workshop is for students to gain a theoretical and
practical understanding of civic engagement. To accomplish this, we will
explore the philosophical, ethical and political dimensions of what it
means to become an engaged citizen. Special emphasis will be put on
learning those dispositions that are specific to developing habits of
good citizenship.
This 1-credit
workshop will be held in Fall 2008: IDIS 280-004, Class # 4544 on
Wednesdays (4:30-5:20p.m.) or IDIS 280-005, Class #5797 on
Thursdays (4:30 - 5:20p.m.), in Henson Hall 101.
