QUESTION: When is
the Graduate Commencement ceremony?
Graduate Commencement is held each May one day prior to the
commencement ceremony. Graduates scheduled to complete degree
requirements in December may request to defer their
commencement activities until spring.
QUESTION: How is the date for commencement selected?
ANSWER: The Commencement ceremony is on the day
immediately following the last day
of final exams with some

QUESTION: As a guest, can I obtain a ticket directly?
ANSWER: No, tickets are issued to graduating students
only. It is up to each student to

QUESTION: Who needs a ticket

The Civic Center is located at

QUESTION: What time do
graduates have to be at the Civic
Graduates should report no later than
5:00 PM for the 6:00 PM ceremony. Be
prepared to remain in the Civic Center once you enter. Do not
belongings. Air horns, balloons
and banners are not permitted.

Commencement ceremonies will be webcast so that family and friends
enjoy the celebration, even if they cannot attend the
Commencement Day, look for
the link on SU's home page. The link will be
just before each ceremony begins.
QUESTION: Can I videotape the ceremony?
ANSWER: Guests may videotape or photograph the ceremony
from their seats only.
