The membership of
Lambda Pi Eta is composed of undergraduate students who have declared an
interest in the field of communication and have achieved a high level of
academic excellence. Students become eligible for membership if they acquire a
cumulative GPA of 3.0, complete 60 credits of coursework, 16 of which are
credits in communication courses, acquire a GPA of at least 3.25 in these
communication courses, are ranked in the upper 35% of their class, are currently
enrolled as a full-time student and display a sincere interest in the field of
communication.

The National Broadcasting Society at SU is an
organization with an emphasis on preparing Communication majors to excel within
the world of broadcast media. This includes workshops, seminars, programs and
field trips; each designed to enlighten those involved.

In 1968, 20 years after its own establishment, the Public Relations Society
of America (PRSA) founded the Public Relations Student Society of America
(PRSSA). The declared purpose of PRSSA is to cultivate a favorable and mutually
advantageous relationship between students and professional public relations
practitioners.

Salisbury University Television is a student staffed and managed television
station on the campus of Salisbury University.
The station is run in collaboration with Television Services, the SU
Communication Arts Department, and Information Technology. Any student, staff or
faculty member at Salisbury University is eligible to participate within the
organization or to propose program concepts.

advisor to SU-TV

The Flyer is a free student-run weekly publication that seeks to provide a
voice for the students of the Salisbury University community. Sections consist
of news, sports, editorial and gull life (features). Any student interested in
writing, newspaper design or photography is welcome! We pay $10 per story and $8
per photo. Meetings are held at 8 p.m. on Sundays in GUC 215.

The Society of Professional Journalists at
Salisbury University is dedicated to training upcoming media
practitioners and providing networking opportunities with
professionals in the field. SPJ explores issues affecting
contemporary media, including ethics, online journalism, social
media and media management, using workshops, speakers,
conferences and social gatherings.
