Electronic Media and Broadcasting
The Fulton School's Department of Communication
and Theatre Arts (CMAT) has for over twenty years provided students with the
opportunity to study the fields of broadcasting and electronic media. Facilities
located in Caruthers Hall include a dedicated television production studio with
multiple studio cameras, cyclorama, chromakey and news sets, and the largest
television lighting grid on the Eastern Shore.

The studio control room is equipped with a Grass
Valley production switcher, systems for character and graphics generation ,
a computer driven teleprompter, and both analog and digital recording
capabilities.

Adjacent to the control room is a large post
production area equipped with six AVID stations along with facilities for
analog, digital and DVD mastering.

An additional room located in Caruthers hall
houses the Digital Work Lab with Avid system audio work stations and playback
facilities.
