The Fulton School's Department of Communication and Theatre Arts (CMAT) has for over twenty years provided students with the opportunity to study the fields of broadcasting and electronic media. Facilities located in Caruthers Hall include a dedicated television production studio with multiple studio cameras, cyclorama, chromakey and news sets, and the largest television lighting grid on the Eastern Shore.
The studio control room is equipped with a Grass Valley production switcher, systems for character and graphics generation, a computer driven teleprompter, and both analog and digital recording capabilities.
Adjacent to the control room is a large post production area equipped with six AVID stations along with facilities for analog, digital and DVD mastering.
An additional room located in Caruthers hall houses the Digital Work Lab with Avid system audio work stations and playback facilities.
The Department of Media Services supports CMAT students with facilities and equipment, for more information go to.
