Student Help Desk Phone Operators/Student Help Desk Lab Technicians

The Information Technology Help Desk is hiring student workers to join our Help Desk support team.  Help Desk student workers’ primary role is to assist other students with common technical support issues.

If you are interested, you can apply to fill the role of Student Help Desk Phone Operators (who answer and direct support phone calls to support representatives) or Student Help Desk Lab Technicians (who assist users in person in lab locations and the Help Desk with technical support problems).  Applicants do not have to have prior technical support experience, but should be:

  • willing to work a set work schedule each week (commonly around 15-20 hours per week)
  • willing to work as early as 7:45 am and as late as 12 midnight, including some weekend shifts
  • willing to learn about supporting PCs, Macs, wireless devices, and other support issues common to campus users
  • in good academic standing
