Associates will have the opportunity to assist in performing accounting, financial analysis, business process re-design, accounting systems implementation, identification and assessment of risks and controls related to business functions, and preparation of internal and external financial reports.
Description: The Finance office serves internal management and external stakeholders by providing the necessary financial information and analysis to make informed strategic decisions. Interns will have the opportunity to assist in one of the many Finance Division including Accounting Operations, Controllership functions, Accounting Policy, Financial Reporting, Business Unit Chief Financial Officers (including Capital Markets, Credit, Single Family & Multifamily organizations), Financial Planning & Analysis, and Strategic Analytics and Transformation.
This opportunity will offer select candidates the ability to learn about our business, further their finance and accounting knowledge and develop the skills necessary to be successful at Fannie Mae. The internship will begin in June and last ten to twelve weeks, depending on the specific project. The work will take place in our Washington, DC offices.
