To be eligible for an Internship, candidates must be currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university with a 2.5 GPA or higher. GXS is seeking an IT Help Desk Intern. The Help Desk intern will provide PC, basic networking and core load application support to the GXS Gaithersburg office. Additionally, the intern will troubleshoot computer problems and determine source, advise on appropriate action, enter and maintain help desk ticket status in the help desk ticket tracking system. Job Requirements: Familiarity with Intel PC desktop and notebook computers and Microsoft software is important. Knowledge should include common application programs (Microsoft Office, Outlook, IE, etc.). Ability to analyze and solve problems, perform hardware and software installations, work independently, and must have excellent communication skills. Candidate must be able to provide courteous and friendly customer service. Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software, basic networking and MS VPN problems is desirable. Knowledge of PC desktop and Microsoft software. Technical work outside of classroom requirements.
