Description Of Internship: A hardworking student with an avid interest in video production and editing who would like to hone those skills as an intern in the marketing/communications department at Atlantic General Hospital (Berlin, Md.). This student must have a general working knowledge of digital camera equipment and editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro. Video equipment in the AGH Marcom Department consists of a basic Canon camcorder, tripod and lapel mic. Development of technical lighting and sound skills will not be a part of this internship. Under the guidance of the director of marketing, the intern can expect to learn to: More effectively interview subjects Set up visual composition Use natural lighting and existing artificial lighting to best advantage Develop storyboards, and Create proper transitions to produce quality video material Video production is a relatively new enterprise for the AGH Marcom Department. Therefore, the marketing team and the intern will be learning new production skills together. The guaranteed takeaway for a student intern is improved communication skills, practical hands-on project management experience and invaluable insight into the professional world.

Potential Projects: Quality Award videos for the Intranet/e-newsletters (internal communication) B-roll as needed to submit with stories released to the press Video bios of Atlantic General Health System physicians for the web site Special events coverage for social media as needed
